One of the clearest symbols that Aarhus loves to make guests feel welcome, are the 2,000 volunteers who have joined the volunteer network, ReThinkers, organised by the official tourism organisation, VisitAarhus. Whenever there is an event in the city, or a cruise ship in port, the ReThinkers are welcoming visitors, eager to meet and greet and make guests feel welcome. Thanks to the ReThinker volunteers, Aarhus might be one of the most hospitable cities in the world and being awarded as European Capital of Smart tourism will support our continued efforts to promote Aarhus as more than ‘just another city’ on a national and European level.
