Since 2015, access to the permanent collection of the Museum Folkwang has been free for all visitors, thanks to a generous grant from the Alfried Krupp von Bohlen und Halbach Foundation. In 2023, the city of Essen has also become a supporter of the project. The primary goal is to make it possible for every segment of the population to visit the museum as frequently as they desire.
